The Challenge
Most Pakistanis look forward to PSL season with national pride as a time of the year promising great cricket and great music anthems. Cricket is celebration and our anthems bring the cricket stadium to life.
With COVID’19 however, the fear was that most cricketers would be playing in empty stadiums with no fans to celebrate and cheer them on.
The Solution
Aaj vekhe ga crowd mera groove TV te
If there wasn’t a crowd in the stadium, it didn’t mean there was no crowd! We were watching the grooves, moves and rhythm of our favorite bowlers, batsmen and teams and cheering for them!
Music and cricket had one big connection that defines both of them – the rhythm or more interestingly and excitingly – “Groove”. There’s a groove in the bowler as he runs up to bowl or the batsman preps up for a cover drive. There’s a groove in all the movements of the cricketer. And this groove was infectious for all fans watching!
The idea was simple – make the whole nation dance to PSL! Its moments, celebrations and action on and off the field – to entertain in a fun, colorful, edgy and modern vibe and spirit. The song became an uplifting celebratory chant for cricketers and their fans alike
